                                The Musashi Shinobi Samurai Clan

Th
e Musashhi Clan consists of a number of families and people who have built close relations of trust with the Shibata Family of the Musashi Province.
The Shibata of Musashi became retainers of Tokugawa Ieyasu and served the Tokugawa Shogunate for 265 years as intelligence operatives called  "Metsuke (inspector)" and "Onmitsu (undercover agent).

In1868 the clan became independent and formed an order of shinobi.

The clan has become a small think and do tank and started to offer services such as seminars and experiences to introduce the ninja and samurai cultures of the Clan Shibata since 2006.

What we offer
Our ancestors made efforts for peace-keeping in the country, so we feel it our mission to work for the same cause. And we hope to help build a bridge for international friendship by introducing the fundamental spirit which underlies in our shinobi culture.

                                Shinobi-samurai (Ninshi)
We have defined the contemporary ninjas as members of a tight knit clan pursuing same goals.  From the end of the 16th century, the Shogunate developed the system of Onmitsu (Tokugawa Ninja).  Many of our ancestors served in the system. Some were samurai generalists with expertise in matters of stealth and combat. Some were specialists, becoming adept at social skills, fine arts, interaction with nature, etc. They believed in divisions of work, and  each had his or her expertise. All worked to keep law and order and peace of  the country. All sought to maintain "balance" or peace of mind in life to survive and trained themselves

to heighten their awareness and perseverance

Still today the ninjas, in striving to reach their goals, develop the individual personsonalities and
protect others, stand up for freedoms, and build a great community of friends

Our ultimate goal is to reach and follow the path to the  "
(Ku)" or no-self, where no conflict is. The ethics and fundamental principles for our value  judgement is now termed Ninshido, the Code of Ninshi (忍士道).As we recognize our ancestors as shinobi-samurai (i.e. ninshi 忍士).

                           Our Ryuha (school)
Because of its assimilation of various aspects of the other martial art forms,  we have decided to call the arts of our clan "Musashi-Shibata-ryu". Our martial arts  comprise one part of our comprehensive arts known as Musashi-ryu Nimpo.

                            Musashi-ryu Nimpo
Ninjutsu is a technique to get information and vanish from sight. There are principles which govern the ninshi's  thought and behavior.  Making use of any jutsu, the ninshi abides by the Ninshido. The highest form of our ninjutsu  is Kyomei no jutsu. The ninshi observes a given situation, and intervenes  when absolutely necessary, without being noticed.
                                  Teamwork slogan
Let us be quiet as the forest, swift as the wind, strike like a  thunderbolt and inscrutable as the darkness (林風雷隠)Thank you.
